Milton Keynes is well known for its famous concrete cows which caused a real stir on their arrival and can still be seen today grazing in a field by the H3 Monks Way. Despite all the humorous publicity that the cows attracted, Milton Keynes is justly proud of its incredibly collection of over 200 pieces of artwork on public display around the city. The work of eminent artist’s such as Elizabeth Frink and Allen Jones are included and following the art trail makes for an interesting and rewarding day out.

Just outside Milton Keynes lies the famous Woburn Safari Park, where most visitors to Milton Keynes find themselves making the short trip to for a truly memorable day out, that the whole family can enjoy. Once there you’ll be able to see for yourself the delights of Woburn Abbey, with its impressive porcelain and silverware collections, picturesque deer park and Britain’s largest drive-through safari park.

Having fun in Milton Keynes is easy thanks to Xscape, a huge development housing restaurants and clubs, a modern multi-screen cinema featuring all the latest films, a huge shopping mall and no less than three real snow slopes to practice your skiing and snowboarding skills. Xscape is open from 9am-2am, providing you with plenty to do throughout the day. So influential is this place on the area that a visit to Milton Keynes really wouldn’t be complete without experiencing some of the entertainment it has to offer.

If you want to find out more about the history of the Milton Keynes area then the place to go is the Milton Keynes Museum. This great museum is run by volunteers and set in a Victorian farmstead. The exhibitions on offer change regularly but you’ll find plenty of information on Victorian life including: a Victorian kitchen, a working forge and loads of transport displays from bicycles to trams.

Those of you that relish the idea of a high-speed chase will be thrilled by a trip to the Milton Keynes branch of Daytona International Karting. Shopping is a particularly popular pastime in Milton Keynes courtesy of its excellent and varied shopping facilities.
